Apprenticeships > Warehousing Apprenticeships
As a Warehousing apprentice, you will play an important role in storing goods and distributing them across the country – an essential part of every business’ logistics operations.
All types of company need to deliver their goods to their customers, meaning you will have a chance to work within a range of different sectors. Hardworking individuals are highly sought after in Warehousing, and an apprenticeship will provide you with real world working experience to strengthen your skills with guidance from experienced colleagues and Babington’s tutors.
A nationally recognised qualification in warehousing and storage will give you the skills essential to begin a career in logistics.
With our level 2 and 3 apprenticeships, you can grow and improve in this sector to eventually become a supervisor, team leader, or enter management in this sector.
Working in a warehouse can be challenging, in which you will need to be motivated by targets, have great teamwork skills, and should be physically fit to help with the movement of large goods. As part of an efficient warehousing team, your responsibility is that goods are received and distributed to the right place at the right time.
Your individual duties will depend on your employer and the size of the business, but they could initially involve tasks such as moving stock, and picking and packing orders. Eventually, this can lead to tasks which involve operating tools and machinery such as forklift trucks or compact cranes.
During an apprenticeship, you can also improve your maths and English skills so that you can excel in your apprenticeship role and any future jobs you may hold.

Piotr Rydoweski, graduated with a Warehousing Level 2 diploma
Being from Poland I have learned a lot of English and Maths with Pat Moore, my Assessor.
The course was very interesting, and my tutor has really helped me improve my health and safety awareness. I can also drive a forklift truck now.
I am really glad I started the apprenticeship and thankful that I have completed it, thank you Pat!
