    The Team   

    Our Recruitment team work on a regional basis, covering all of Babington Group locations.  Their role is to engage new employers to take Apprentices into their business, typically within the SME market. Once an opportunity has been opened, the Recruitment Consultant will work with the Learner Engagement Support Team to source, screen and supply a candidate for interview and to secure an Apprenticeship position.

     

    The Role

    This is a proactive role and you will be responsible for identifying and gaining new clients /accounts across multiple sectors. You will develop relationships with employers and learners to achieve your monthly targets and key performance indicators.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Develop a talent pool of candidates and work to place them appropriately within employer network.
    • Prepare candidates for interview, going through interview preparation and interview techniques.
    • Responsible for placing the right candidates with the right employers, to ensure high levels of success and retention.
    • Manage data entry of CRM, internal software systems, Caseload Management and MI Reports.
    • Provide daily report of performance to Recruitment Team Leader
    • Ensure all individual KPIs and objectives are achieved
    • Engage in a blend of hot/warm/cold calling to engage prospective apprentices using a variety of channels daily.
    • Responsible for visiting employers and conducting Health & Safety vetting of potential premises.
    • Responsible for ensuring prospective apprentices are eligible for funded programmes and suitable for employment
    • Maintain and grow a pipeline of vacancies, to place predominantly, 16-18 year olds in apprenticeships
    • Maintain the relationship between employers within pipeline
    • Establish interviews for apprentices with employers via a matching service
    • Complete all paperwork to compliance standards for each apprenticeship start
    • Work within the team to achieve team targets and share best practice

    The ideal candidate will have experience of selling within Apprenticeship/Government funded training and have a good awareness of the local labour market.

    The role

    We strive to contact our learners within 7 days of sign up and you will be responsible for effectively liaising with each of your Learners to ensure they have a thorough understanding of their qualifications, progress and what will be covered at each visit.

    We use e-portfolio so you can manage the learner journey remotely, which creates a robust tracking system and we will provide you with all the tools for you to do this successfully.

    As part of your caseload management you will be responsible for conducting initial assessments and record on an individual learner plan, review SMART targets on assessment plans, deliver induction sessions and carry out Health and Safety checks with new employers.

    You will be expected to source a proportion of their own learners to shape a localised caseload, whilst also being supported by a motivated, energetic and engaging sales team.

    The teams meet on a quarterly basis to share best practice, link with other inspiring team members and are structured to support you and provide you with the best opportunity to succeed.

    Skills & Experience

    • To provide an efficient administration service to staff and learners across the Group.

    • To ensure Health and Safety procedures are complied with and closely monitored with related paperwork completed and uploaded in a timely manner.

    • To ensure centre housekeeping rules are adhered to across the Group and reported as required as per Standard Operating Model requirements.

    • Responsibility for ensuring all paperwork is registered, scanned and uploaded correctly as per Standard Operating Model requirements.

    • To ensure examinations are administered and invigilated in line with the relevant awarding body guidelines.

    • Responsibility for the registering and paying in monies of exam payments, working closely with the Finance team.

    • To be the appointed, trained First Aider for the centre.

    • Support the business by conducting learner and employer surveys by means of post, email and telephone

    • To provide cover at other centre locations as required.

    • To cover tasks of the Business Receptionist when needs require.

    • To fully adhere to the Business Support Standard Operating Model requirements

    • To carry out any other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
